Speech squad earns honors at Dilworth

Mike Nettestad was recently elected president of the Minnesota 9th District American Legion concert band.
A Pelican Rapids Native and veteran himself, Nettestad served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in the 1970s—concluding his service in Rapid City, SD, at Ellsworth Air Base.
He’s familiar to church congregations throughout the lakes region, as director of the “Band of Faith” for nearly 30 years.
The band performs at different area churches about monthly.
