Darren W. Olson

Darren Wayne Olson passed away unexpectedly February 8, 2025, at the age of 53, in Wyoming, doing what he loved, driving his truck.
Darren was born July 21, 1971 in Pelican Rapids. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. Graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1989.
He began his trucking career with Evenson Trucking at the age of 20. Over his 33-year career, he drove for several trucking companies in Montana and Minnesota and most recently drove for Hausmann Motorsports.
Darren cherished the time he spent with his two children, listening to music, singing, dancing and laughing. He had a love of music, especially older rock & roll. His abundance of musical knowledge always seemed to amaze us. He also enjoyed fishing, whether it was in the mountains of Montana or the lakes and rivers of Minnesota. Darren was also a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
He was preceded in death by his father Gary Olson, paternal and maternal grandparents and a special aunt and uncle Rodney and Arlis Ellingson.
We will keep Darren in our hearts along with lifetime memories. He will be remembered by his 2 children Brady Olson and Tressa Olson, his mother Mary Olson, brothers Brian (Jennifer) Olson and Chris (Tori) Olson, nieces and nephews Chelsie Olson (Pedro), Ashlee Olson, Isaac Olson, Logan Olson, Austin (Shaylee) Snyder-Lehn and Makenize Hams (Seth), great nieces and nephews, Kingston, Kendrix, Kalla and Lauryn & special cousins Jeff & Ronda Ellingson and Aunts Margaret Tonn, Donna Bowen and Diane McLain and several other cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
